Inscription Info

Inscription is a profession which will be introduced in the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Inscription will allow players to augment the cooldown, damage, or mechanics (stun, knock back, DoT, HoT, etc.) of a spell. It will have two aspects: augmentation of abilities and spells with the creation of a new type of item ("scrolls," for example, from ink, paper, and other reagents or some other item which has not yet been revealed). [1]

Inscribing abilities for other characters will involve the creation of Inscription Scrolls which can be traded, bought, or sold at the auction house in the same manner as other items. [2]

Those who don't purchase the expansion will be able to use items created by an inscriber, but only those players who purchase Wrath of the Lich King will be able to learn Inscription as a profession.

[edit] Official examples

  • Backstab could be enhanced to crit more often.
  • Shadow Bolt could be enhanced to do additional damage.
  • Frost Nova could have larger range or longer duration.
  • Fireball could be enhanced to also cause a knockback effect. (This was an off-the-cuff example given by one of the panelists that, while cool, is not likely to happen, given Blizzard's unwillingness to give players knockback abilities (see The Unstoppable Force) [3]
  • "Demonic Runes inscription that will increase fire damage done by the Mage Fireball spell by 50 additional points." [4]

[edit] Trainers

It is expected that the Inscription profession trainer will be found in the Alliance and Horde towns in Northrend,

Inscription will be trainable at low levels like other Professions, The trainers themselves in addition to being in Northrend will appear in capital cities.

I have never been a fan of purchasing gold from gold sellers.  Sure I could buy the gold, but I am obviously in a position where I don't know how to get the gold myself.  So when I buy that gold, I use it and then I am in a jam again!

I picked up this guide to see if I could permanently change my knowledge of gold accumulation.  It did.  I have about 14k gold in my main account!  I am often skeptical about all of these sellers advertising their "special warcraft techniques."  I am a good player, and I don't want knowledge I already know.  I review guides for this site and I have seen them all, and most of them are plain terrible.  This guide however is very good,  and has changed my WoW gold techniques forever.

What this guide offers: 
I would say any level of experienced player can use WGold Secrets effectively.  There are step by step techniques that any "noob" or "pro" can use.  I liked how there were actual maps, screenshots, item stats and pictures.  I hate reading text guides - so boring! I am sure you agree.  All of his techniques are legal.  Finally he shows you why most people fail at making gold and also what the top 3 money making professions are!  It is also one of the only guides that has a profession power leveling guide!

So don't waste your money buying gold.  If making a lot of gold is what you want.  Get this guide, the others don't come close to explaining the exact techniques for loads of gold.

It was tough rating this guide.  I wanted to give this guide a perfect, but there is a reason I didn't.  It is only for Horde.  It helps me though because I have to admit, I play Horde more than Alliance.  I have, however, power leveled some alliance too.  Anyways, this is why I gave this guides features section a 4 out of 5 because it only explains Horde Power Leveling.

If you are a Horde player however, this is the guide for you!  This is probably my favorite guide because of the ease of use.  It was the first guide I ever read and I immediately improved my game.  I liked this guide because there was not hours of reading.  I read the what it told me to do step by step and I performed those actions step by step. 

The first character I leveled from 0, I got to level 60 in 5 days and 6 hours, which was about 6 days faster than my last character I leveled.  I then got to Level 70 in a matter of days.

What this guide comes with:
There are actually many different features that come with this guide.

If you have ever heard of the famous Joana's Leveling guide for the horde, this is the equivalent: for the Alliance.

I rarely play Alliance but joined some of my co-workers in their Alliance guild.  They were all around level 30 when I joined..  I beat them to 80!! lol

I only bought this guide because of its good reviews, and many equaled it to Joana's guide which I knew was good because she has the WORLD RECORD for leveling to 80.

What this guide offers: 
120 Pages of detailed "set in stone procedures" of how to get to level 80.  Includes links and pictures for everything imaginable.  Tips for which mods to use and general leveling tips.  It also has interactive map coordinates!  It shows you exactly where to go even if you haven't been there before while you play!  Also includes class specific talent guides.  There is so much more as well.  Take a look at his site for more details.

So don't waste your money renting a power leveler.  If enjoying the game, becoming an elite wow player, and getting to 80 fast is what you want.  Get this guide.  Its a no brainer!
